Call Now · 24/7What is a bail bond?
A bail bond is a financial guarantee, posted by a licensed bondsman, that secures a defendant's release from jail. Instead of paying the full bail amount to the court, you pay the bondsman a premium — typically 10% in California — and the bondsman covers the rest.
How much does a bail bond cost in California?
The standard premium is 10% of the total bail amount. Abaasy Bail Bonds offers discounted rates as low as 8% for clients with private attorneys, active or retired military, and union members. The price we quote is the price you pay — no hidden fees.
Can I get a payment plan?
Yes. We offer flexible, 0% interest payment plans so you don't have to pay the full premium upfront. We work with your budget to find a plan that fits your family's situation.
Are bail bond fees refundable?
No. The premium paid to a bondsman is a service fee for posting the bond and is non-refundable, regardless of the case outcome. This is standard across the bail industry. Collateral, if required, is returned when the case closes.
What is a co-signer and do I need one?
A co-signer (or indemnitor) is the person who signs the bond agreement and takes on financial responsibility for the defendant. Having a qualified co-signer lined up before you call speeds up the release process significantly.
What is a 1275 hold?
A 1275 hold is a court hold placed on bail when there's reason to believe the bail funds may come from illegal activity. It requires a hearing to verify the legitimate source of the money. We offer free 1275 hold consultations to help you prepare.
How long does it take to get released after bail is posted?
Release typically takes 2–6 hours after the bond is posted, depending on the facility. We start the paperwork immediately when you call to minimize wait time.
What happens if someone misses their court date?
The court may issue a bench warrant and the bond can be forfeited. We work with families proactively to send court date reminders and help ensure dates aren't missed.
Do you offer Spanish-language service?
Yes. Our team provides full bilingual support in English and Spanish so every family understands every step of the process.
What areas do you serve?
We serve families across California with offices in San Diego, El Centro, Vista, Indio, Pleasanton, Chula Vista, Murrieta, and San Bernardino — and we post bonds anywhere in the state, 24 hours a day.

Can you help if I was referred by an attorney?
